I want to encourage young believers to get into the word, and understand God's will for their life. I will be posting devotions, songs, and other encouragement at least once a week.

Understand Who You Are - Advice for Everyone (but mostly kids)
Dear Child, understand who you are in Christ. Nurture yourself while you are young. Learn what God's word says, so you may be evangelistically bold in the Spirit. But learn more than just His word, learn to worship Him in all you do. Learn to seek His presence, and walk in it. Learn to hear His voice, that you may know Him when He calls. For without His guidance your own feet will surely lead you astray.

Love Your Brothers and Sisters - Advice for Everyone (but mostly kids)
As you are growing up you will make friends, many will betray you, many will leave you, and few will stick with you. It is important to have good friends who you know will never leave you. They may be hard to find, but you will find them, and they will stick with you through all you do. These friends you will call your brothers and sisters. As they are very important to you, love them will all your heart. The bible says that if you say you love God, but hate your brother, you are a liar. Don't be a liar, love your brothers and sisters. This applies to your actual brothers and sisters too, because you will have so few true friends, your siblings are your stronghold later in life. But if you spend your childhood hating them, you will not be able to confide in them when you are older.

Kid President - Advice for Everyone (but mostly kids)
It is so easy for us to get caught up in life, trying to teach people complex things that are only necessary in certain situations, that we forget the simple things. Let kid President remind you!

There is Nothing Your Parent Loves More Than You - Advice for Everyone (but mostly kids)
Dear child, through your entire life you will take after your parents, you will have like mannerisms, thoughts and actions. Do not be afraid to correct them, tell them something that you want them to change about the way they act about a certain issue, or how they treat you. Then watch how they respond to your request. A good parent will work to be a better model for their children. You may not see it right away, and they may not act upon it right away, but there is nothing a parent loves more than their child. Rest in the LORD - Advice for Everyone (but mostly kids)
We are called to be an example to everyone around us “in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.” This calling was originally given to Timothy, while he was still very young, by Peter. We have since adopted it as God’s word to us, that we may set the example of His will through this earth. It is difficult to be bold enough to stand out in a world of similarity. But, as God’s children, that is what we are called to do. We are called to be difference, and the only way we can do that, is through God. Dear child, rest in the LORD, and He will give you the strength to stand out for what you believe!

Don't Lose the Child Inside - Advice for Everyone (but mostly kids)
Dear child, get older, learn, mature, grow up. But don’t lose the child inside. Being mature is more knowing when to be serious, and when to joke around, then just being serious. When you are young, act young all the time. When you get older, know when and how to act young, and do it. Life is not fun unless you are able to embrace the fun times, and enjoy them for what they are!Sunday, January 5, 2014
Remember Him - Advice for Everyone (but mostly kids)
You are going to find yourself in a place where you have no idea what to do. (It’s pretty much inevitable) And you are going to have to find something to do about it. It will not be easy, you are going to have to trust, you are going to have to persevere, you are not going to make it through alone. Darling, remember who always has your back, and look to Him in your time of strife.

Everything Happens for a Reason - Advice for Everyone (but mostly kids)
Everything that happens, happens for a reason. At times, things can, as life, feel backwards, upside-down, or inside-out. But if you can love those who hate you, can’t you make the best of even the most obscure situations? Darling, learn to question your situations that you may find the good in it, not to drain it of patience.

Be Patient - Advice for Everyone (but mostly kids)
"Patients, it's a virtue." This phrase has been said to and by me multiple times. Each time, it has been a reminder of just how important it is that we wait for what we want or need. God has perfect timing, if we are patient, we will have all our heart desires, and more. My Child, when all odds are a against you, and simply want to give up, be patient through the storm.

Love Your Enemies - Advice for Everyone (but mostly kids)
You will discover, in your life, that there are who will hate you, people who will love you, and people who will like you. People who hate you have no right to fill your mind with evil things. People who love you may not always like to do so. People who like you, also love you, they just like doing so. Dear child, show love to those who show you hatred, be kind to those who show you love, and embrace the ones who enjoy doing so!

You Are Beutiful - Advice for Everyone (but mostly kids)
Dear Child,
Be not ashamed of your form, posture, height, weight, doing so is an insult to Him who created you. Child, you are beautiful just the way you are, nothing will ever change that. God does not make mistakes. You are His creation, His masterpiece ( Eph. 2:10 ) Darling, you are not a mistake, but a blessing, you bring joy to your parents, and those you spend your days with. Please, Child, when the world caves in, and you feel incapable, remember who created you, and that to Him, you are perfect.
Blessings,
Momma Ann

Advice for Everyone (but mostly kids)
- Things that I want to teach my children in preparation for everything that life 'throws at them'
Dear child, basically these will all be things that I have learned "the hard way," I want you to be ready for your life, I do think it is good to learn things on your own - they stick with you better that way- but I want you to understand that others go through the same things. I am human just like you, and you do not have to be afraid to admit that you are scared. I want you to know that life is not easy, but that I want you to succeed in everything that you do. So I am going to share some things that I have been writing down about experiences that I have been through, and what I have taken from them. Please child, know that I love you, and want you to be happy!
